The Century 

The Century Twining provided construction materials testing and inspection services for the construction and development of this high rise condominium located in Century City.

The tower is founded on a mat foundation which required over 7,000 cubic yards of concrete that was placed continuously over a 15-hour period. The post-tensioned and reinforced concrete structure utilized specially designed concrete mixes with strengths as high as 10,000 psi for vertical elements which required the use of an on-site curing facility to maintain the specified initial curing temperatures for concrete specimens. Due to the high cement content of the concrete, temperature monitoring of mock-ups was performed prior to construction in order to verify maximum heat generated within structural members.
