Twining Infrastructure
Quality Control Services
Twining has been contributing to the quality of California’s infrastructure for over a century. We’ve kept pace with California’s innovations and have partnered with the industry to discover and evaluate new and upcoming products and technologies. Through our engineers, public works inspectors, construction inspectors and technicians, Twining has successfully implemented quality control programs for Federal Aviation Administration projects, Caltrans, and design build contractor quality control programs.
Quality Inspection
The Twining team includes more than 200 quality control inspectors, many of whom are multi-licensed to inspect various materials and construction activities. Our considerable pool of inspectors enables Twining to provide our clients with the inspection support they need at any location, for any shift, as project needs arise.
Twining Infrastructure insists that its inspectors continue their education through internal and external training that keeps them up to date on the latest codes, standards and construction methods. In many cases, this has allowed them to identify proactive solutions to potential problems on a jobsite.
Twining is signatory to an agreement with the International Union of Operating Engineers. Due to the stability and benefits offered by our company, and the increased compensation paid to our inspectors and technicians, Twining attracts the very best personnel.
Proactive Engineering and Consulting
During construction, critical inspection and engineering information is vital to the progress of a project. Our engineers have a level of experience that enables them to identify potential project delays and identify cost effective engineering solutions. Twining routinely partners with owners and contractors to proactively resolve design issues before they become critical.
Onsite Mobile Laboratories
Our fleet of mobile laboratories allows us to provide onsite testing for any infrastructure project. Whether the project requires concrete testing on local freeways to identify the strength before opening to traffic, or asphalt testing onsite for compaction and critical quality control characteristics, Twining is prepared to meet the challenge. Our firm also routinely establishes long term mobile laboratories for large airfield paving or infrastructure reconstruction projects.
Statistical Quality Program Management
Consistency in materials is key to a successful quality control program. Our clients expect and depend upon Twining to identify and report inconsistencies as quickly as possible. We have proven experience in providing real time quality control data through various types of electronic reporting. Twining maintains statistical quality control programs to easily identify where variations occur and provides consulting to ensure the issues are resolved.
