Bolsa Chica Lowlands Restoration

This $125 million project in Orange County covered approximately 1,250 acres and restored portions of the wetland ecosystem of the Bolsa Chica lowlands. Project highlights included the construction of two bridges, a system of levees and tidal control structures, nesting sites, jetties, and re-routing of the Pacific Coast Highway.

Twining was the only firm able to meet the rigorous qualification requirements of the numerous federal, state, and local authorities overseeing the project including the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Game, and California Department of Transportation. We provided all quality control services.
