Under this multi-year contract, Twining provided continued on-call services to Caltrans’ Office of Rigid Pavement Materials and Structural Concrete (ORPMSC). Our firm performed studies of high volume fly ash concrete for pavements and structures, participated in the research of limestone addition to portland cements, and carried out special investigations of concrete in some existing bridge structures. Twining has also prepared the low shrink grout mix designs for the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
